Piston and cylinder damage and repair

The conrod has bent and is no longer flush on the bearing. This caused the conrod to collide with the crankcase wall.

The damage has been repaired on the crankcase with fine glass paper and then polished.

This is the damaged on the cylinder caused by the heat from the exhaust. Also the piston where scoring has started to take place.

The cylinder will be sent away to have the nikasil lining repaired and re-honed to the spec of the piston. The manufacturer states 0.07mm clearance.
